The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is the oldest and one of the finest medical schools in the United States. The Brain Behavior Laboratory is recruiting a Clinical Research Coordinator A to help investigators conduct behavioral and multi-modal neuroimaging research examining both normal and abnormal development of executive function in adolescence. The position will draw on a wide range of skills and provide learning
opportunities in diverse areas. Responsibilities will include assisting with: clinical assessment of youth psychiatric symptoms; recruiting, scheduling, and assessing subjects; acquisition of data for behavioral and multi-modal MRI experiments; maintenance of regulatory documents and correspondence. Opportunities for data analysis and writing manuscripts abound. Position is contingent on continued funding.


BA/BS and 1-3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. The candidate must have a passion for science, superb interpersonal skills, and technical affinity. Preference of an educational background in Neuroscience/Psychology or Biology/Premed with plans to pursue a graduate degree in psychology, neuroscience, or medicine. An interest in working directly with children affected by psychiatric symptoms is essential. Knowledge of IRB and human research protection regulations is desirable. While not required, experience with the Unix/Linux operating system and the statistical package R is a major asset. Above all, the applicant should demonstrate strong motivation, empathy, and excellent organizational skills.

Must pass Pennsylvania’s Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks within 30-90 days of employment.
