This position is open for highly motivated research specialist who has a bioinformatics background and capable of analyzing gut microbiome related sequencing data in farm animals at the Agricultural Systems and Microbial Genomics Laboratory, at the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN), School of Veterinary Medicine, New Bolton Center . Position located in Kennett Sq., no public trans. avail.

  • Masters in Bioinformatics and 1 -2 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    * Experienced in UNIX/LINUX and high performance computing experience.
    * Proficiency in R or similar commonly used statistical languages.
    * Solid programming experience in Python, Perl, or other languages
