School/Center Overview

The Division of Finance is responsible for an array of centralized financial functions of the University. Our various departments are responsible for administrative services that support financial accounting and disbursement activities, research administration, external and internal investments, cash and debt management, risk management and student registration and financial aid.


This position assists in all aspects of Gifts Accounting & Administration and will report directly to the Sr. Associate Director.

The primary function of this position includes analysis and recording all financial and non-financial activity. This position will work closely with the Sr. Associate Director on all gift and pledge auditor requests. Responsibilities include: Monthly analysis/reporting/recording cash/credit card suspense transactions, monitor journal transactions submitted via Cashier’s Office or internal transfers/RDC deposits. Complete monthly no-binding pledge receivable reporting packages for audit and comptroller’s office.

In addition, this position act as backup securities processing during off times of Securities Gifts Analyst and during peak times.


A Bachelor’s Degree, accounting degree preferred and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Strong financial and accounting skills are required; experience in BEN Financials, ATLAS gifts system and Business Objects preferred. Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with colleagues is also essential, as are strong organizational skills. Strong problem solving, analytical and organization skills a must, with the ability to work independently under deadlines.
