Duties

Under supervision, Research Specialist A will be involved in planning, conducting and analyzing animal experiments aimed at development of novel antigen-specific immunotherapy. Research Specialist will provide technical support to enable our laboratory to function effectively and will adhere to standard procedures and guidelines. Research Specialist will perform injection, tissue sample collections, testing, measuring, recording and analyzing of results. Research Specialist will carry out experiments under the management of supervising scientists to allow senior scientific personnel to concentrate on the more complex analytical processes in the laboratory and to provide essential blinding in animal experiments.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A BA/BS in Biology is preferred. Experience in immunological techniques, cell culture and animal models expected; additional experience in molecular biology, flow cytometry and biochemical techniques is a plus. Evidence of research experience should include laboratory bench experience, and where appropriate, scientific publications and presentations. Ability to learn new techniques and to follow existing protocols is a must. Occasional evening and weekend work required on an as-needed basis. Position is available immediately.
