Information Systems & Computing (ISC) is the University of Pennsylvania’s central IT organization, providing infrastructure and services upon which Penn’s numerous Schools and Centers build their unique tools and capabilities. Duties

Working as a member of the Unified Communications (UC) team within Technology Services in Information Systems and Computing, provide technical support and customer service for a variety of voice and video-related services. Serve as primary technical contact for the Video Content Management service. Provide backup support for Digital Signage, Live Streaming, Contact Center, and other Unified Communication Services. Reproduce and troubleshoot problems. Communicate with vendors to submit feature requests, monitor support tickets, and to keep informed about product roadmaps. Collaborate with staff from other ISC departments and across the University to maintain and improve the UC service portfolio.

Qualifications

IT Project Leader: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced experience using Microsoft Windows and web-based applications. Experience with Mac OS and Linux. Basic understanding of IP networking concepts; must have proven track record in troubleshooting a wide variety of problems, sometimes with limited background knowledge. Must have strong customer service focus and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic understanding of voice and video technology strongly preferred. Programming knowledge preferred. Experience with Voice over IP or Unified Communications solutions, digital signage, lecture capture, or eFax solutions are a plus.

SR IT Project Leader: In addition to the above skills, the Senior-level position should have a minimum of four years of experience with advanced knowledge of voice and video technology. Experience dealing with vendors and working in cloud-based computing environments. Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting skills. Hands-on experience with some of the following specific technologies: Canvas, Panopto, Tightrope Carousel, PureConnect, Skype for Business (Teams), Slack, and YouTube video streaming.
