Duties

We are seeking to hire a Research Specialist A/B with a working knowledge of tumor immunology to join a lab investigating Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) with the goal of optimizing the use of immune therapy with molecular therapy to achieve better oncologic outcomes in GIST.
The Research Specialist A will participate in conducting and analyzing experiments and data presentation with minimal supervision. Duties include: Tissue acquisition and processing of human and mouse samples; maintaining cell lines, primary cell culturing, performing flow cytometry.
The Research Specialist B is expected to have prior experience with mouse models, husbandry, i.v, i.p, s.c injection and tissue harvesting and assume a leading role in planning and conducting experiments including, western blots, ELISA, DNA, and RNA isolation and Multiplex (Luminex).

Qualifications

Research Specialist A: Bachelor’s Degree and 0 to 1yr of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Research Specialist B: Bachelor’s Degree and 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Both: The position requires a highly motivated, articulate individual with excellent oral and written communication skills. The candidate should possess the ability to work independently and also as a part of a team. Strong planning, organizational and prioritizing capabilities along with problem solving skills desired. Must be able to work flexible hours.
