Duties

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for the preparation, review and submission of sponsored program proposals through the internal review process to submission to sponsor. Function as resource for sponsored program guidelines, policies and procedures. Act as liaison with Towne Business Office (TBO). Supported Faculty, Research Services and Center for Technology Transfer. Review AIS information and compare with the notices for accuracy. Enter award budgets into BEN. Assist with post award management and grant close out. As needed, will participate in other activities required in support of the TBO. Position reports to the TBO Business Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in business-related field and 2-3 years work experience or equivalent required. Previous administrative experience, preferably in academic setting. Strong knowledge and experience with information technology including word processing, spreadsheets, internet, business applications such as university financial and research administration accounting systems. Working knowledge of Sponsored Programs policies and procedures and BEN is highly desirable. Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills required; strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously flexibility, initiative and independent judgment required. Prior experience with PennERA strongly preferred.
