The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is the oldest and one of the finest medical schools in the United States. Since its founding in 1765 the School has been a strong presence in the community and prides itself on educating the leaders of tomorrow in patient care, biomedical research, and medical education.


With limited supervision, provide academic program management for the Masters of Science in Health Policy Research (MSHP) and National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP) in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

Serve as the primary contact for Masters of Science in Health Policy Research (MSHP) students and National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP) fellows throughout their tenure on the programs.

Manage academic program calendars and handle all academic scheduling for the Masters of Science in Health Policy Research (MSHP) and National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP).

Oversee and track students’ academic progress, including, but not limited to, student records, degree requirements and graduation.

Manage Masters of Science in Health Policy Research (MSHP) courses, including, but not limited to, course registrations/permits, course catalog updates, grade entry, course evaluations and Canvas sites.

Oversee and codify Masters of Science in Health Policy Research (MSHP) and National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP) alumni tracking and engagement, including but not limited to, the creation and distribution of program updates and the continuous monitoring of alumni records/information to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.

Manage and regularly update the Masters of Science in Health Policy Research (MSHP) and National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP) program websites and social media accounts.

Design, administer and create reports for academic and student-related program surveys.

Direct student engagement activities.

Other duties as assigned.


A Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Must be able to work directly and effectively with multiple constituencies, including faculty, students, senior administrators and staff.

Highly proficient with word processing, databases, presentation and organizational computer programs and tools (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, file sharing services, course management platforms (Canvas, Blackboard), basic CMS, e-mail, Twitter, and calendar programs).

Experience with proprietary Penn systems, including UMIS, is a plus.

Ability to work well as part of a team.

Occasional evening work during events will be required
