Join a growing, collegial, department of motivated IT professionals; great facilities, team environment, excellent resources. Report to Associate CIO. Serve as Senior Application Developer. Participate fully in all aspects of application development. Lead projects through the full application lifecycle including design, development, testing and documentation. Duties include:
* Program, test, and document web applications and scripts.
* Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot existing applications.
* Write and modify various web and database related scripts.
* Create and maintain web templates and stylesheets for the Law School CMS and applications.
* Provide front end application development as needed.
* Investigate, enhance and support third party web applications as needed.
* Ensure adherence to technical, quality assurance, data integrity, accessibility and security standards.


A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of three years of programming experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must have a strong command of programming languages, user interfaces, integration methods, and development lifecycles. Requirements include:
* Expertise in PHP, ColdFusion, Python, or other related languages.
* Advanced knowledge in JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks.
* Experience writing SQL queries, working with databases, scripting against APIs.
* Expertise in HTML/HTML5, XML, CSS/CSS3 and cross-browser support.
* Experience working with services with exposed APIs such as Canvas and Google APIs.
* Understanding of web related security and privacy practices necessary.
* Flexibility to work occasional off hours to meet deadlines or handle emergency issues.
* Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
