School/Center Overview

The Division of Finance is responsible for an array of centralized financial functions of the University. Our various departments are responsible for administrative services that support financial accounting and disbursement activities, research administration, external and internal investments, cash and debt management, risk management and student registration and financial aid. http://www.finance.upenn.edu/default.asp

Duties

Under the supervision of the Senior Director, Office of Student Financial Aid,manages all financial aid responsibilities related to the day-to-day operations. Supervises management team and financial aid staff; coordinates responsibilities and tasks to maintain timely processing of all operations. Provides support for Department of Education software, data exchange and reconciliation processes. Assist in reporting and data management of Title IV packaging projections. This role includes the support of new systems/processes to improve the day to day operation and federal reporting requirements.

Qualifications

A Master’s Degree or more and 7 years to 10 years of progressive Financial Aid experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Previous experience in university or large or mid-sized complex institution is preferred. Strong management & leadership skills; exemplary customer service skills; problem-solving, and decision making Evidence of well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs as well as Federal methodology in awarding aid.
