Division of the Vice Provost for University Life (VPUL) is Penn’s foremost provider of student services and educational access. VPUL partners and collaborates with diverse organizations across many dimensions including: race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, historical tradition, age, religion, disabilities, veteran status, interests, perspectives and socioeconomic backgrounds. We enhance the ability of nearly 25,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, along with other community participants. University Life programs provide academic and career support, campus and community engagement, health and wellness programs, and much more. Duties

The Program Coordinator (PC) reports to the Director of the Office of Alcohol and Other Drug Program Initiatives (AOD), a division of the Office of the Vice Provost for University Life (VPUL). The PC is responsible for the administrative management of the Event Registration Program and the Event Observer Program. The PC collaborates on an ongoing basis with undergraduate and graduate student groups, a wide range of program staff, and outside vendors to ensure that events with alcohol are planned and implemented in compliance with University policy and state law. The PC also manages the scheduling, payment, training, and report gathering for a large group of part-time staff employed by AOD. The PC is responsible for all documentation and administrative duties related to these programs. In addition, the PC collaborates with the AOD team on educational programs, resource presentations, and campus-wide risk management efforts. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

BA/BS and at least two years professional administrative experience is required, higher education setting preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to organize and manage detailed information, adhere to fast-paced timelines and deadlines, and manage communications on an independent basis is required. Proficiency with Excel, Office, and utilization of web forms is required. Professional communication, writing, and presentation skills required.
