School/Center Overview

College Houses brings together undergraduates, faculty, staff, and graduate students to form vibrant residential communities within the larger context of our renowned urban campus. Our mission is to bring the academic life of the classroom into our living spaces. We have roughly 5,600 residents in total, and twelve houses. The architectural styles vary from 24-story modern high-rises with over 800 residents to smaller, 4-story brick Houses with 170 residents. Each House offers countless cultural, academic and recreational events, personal services, and leadership opportunities. Duties

Reporting to the Executive Director of College Houses & Academic Services, the Director will provide supervision and management to three College Houses with a resident population of approximately 2400 students and Paraprofessional Staff Selection. As a member of the College Houses & Academic Services leadership team provide direction and develop innovative approaches to benefit the resident student population within the construct of a College Houses system.

Qualifications

A Master’s Degree required. PhD preferred with at least 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Five years experience supervising professional staff in a university or college setting within residential life. Experience with program development, implementation and assessment for sophomore through senior year populations. Preferred: Experience working with residential faculty in a College House system or within a Living Learning community environment.
