The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is the oldest and one of the finest medical schools in the United States. Penn is rich in tradition and heritage and at the same time consistently at the forefront of new developments and innovations in medical education and research. Since its founding in 1765 the School has been a strong presence in the community and prides itself on educating the leaders of tomorrow in patient care, biomedical research, and medical education.


The primary function of this position is to develop, direct and perform quality assurance related activities for the cyclotron facility. The person in this position will function as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates the compliance issues within the cyclotron facility and to ensure the activities in the cyclotron facility meet the internal and external regulation. The person will be responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement on the quality management system (QMS) within the cyclotron facility.
* Batch record, SOP and other regulatory document review and disposition;
* Review, approval, and release of raw materials, components of in process material or finished product
* Training and training documentation.
* Investigations of planned and unplanned GMP related deviation and aberrant results.
* Implementation of corrective action and CAPA plan.
* Complaints and recalls;
* Qualification, auditing and compliance oversight of GMP service providers or contractors.
* Execution and follow-up of internal audit plan.
* Provide QA input/guidance functional areas as appropriate.
* Interact with cyclotron facility staff and management team to identify problems and formulate solutions to the identified problems.


The minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field and 5 to 7 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required.
Ability to make difficult, but robust, rationalized and timely decisions based on available data and risk
Ability to create a vision and motivate others to achieve that vision
Monitors established goals and takes action as needed to ensure timely delivery of goals
Effective communication and writing skills, effective problem solving skills is required.
Ability to multi-task, work independently and work as part of a team.
