Division of the Vice Provost for University Life (VPUL) is Penn’s foremost provider of student services and educational access. Duties

Under limited supervision, position is responsible for providing administrative support in the management of tutorial services. Specifically, the individual in the position must manage, supervise, and coordinate tutor staff and processes. Organize and evaluate the provision of services offered by tutors, manage the processes associated with acquiring a tutor and insure that the quality of the services rendered meet all levels of expectations. In addition, the individual will manage and maintain software/database and other related technology associated with online appointment scheduling, data collection and staff management.

Qualifications

BA/BS required, Masters degree in Education, Business, Social Work, Liberal Arts or related field preferred plus 2-3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional experience in student services, preferably in the area of academic support. Strong organizational and planning skills essential. Extensive experience in data management and innovative uses of technology required. Knowledge of tutoring pedagogy and methods of integrating computing into academic support services. Experience with TutorTrac scheduling software/database a plus. Strong report writing skills. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills required. Demonstrated commitment to diversity
