Duties

Expanded Function Dental Assistants with less than 5 years practical experience will assist dentist chairside utilizing 4-handed techniques in patient treatment.
Perform expanded functions duties under direct supervision of a dentist. Duties include: placing and removing rubber dams, placing and removing matrices, placing and contouring amalgam restorations and placing and finishing composite resin restorations, placing sealants, coronal polishing, and fluoride varnish.

Other possible candidates are required to possess a minimum of 5 years advanced training as a 4-handed Dental Assistant performing duties such as: Taking impressions of teeth for study models, diagnostic casts and athletic appliances, fabrication of Crown and bridge provisionals and working knowledge of Specialty Dental procedures including, Orthodontics, Endodontics, Periodontics and Implant and Oral Surgery. Digital x-ray exposure and mounting of radiographs, maintain supplies, set-up and breakdown of operatories. Assist at multi locations as necessary.

Qualifications

Technical School, Certification, training or apprenticeship required beyond High School and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
