This position reports to the Director of Admissions with additional supervision from the Assistant Dean for Admissions. This position provides additional oversight of the admissions processes and day-to-day operations for the four year predoctoral program, the PASS program for foreign trained dentists, and post-graduate specialty programs. Evaluate applications for the pre-doctoral and PASS programs for interview consideration. Counsel prospective applicants. Assist with recruitment activities including pre-health fairs and virtual fairs. Schedule faculty and staff interviewers, process admissions applications as needed to meet admissions deadlines and schedules. Supervise the criminal background check process. Assist with interview day activities including presentations and meeting with candidates individually. Serve as back up administrator for WebAdmit admissions computer systems. Assist with data collection for all survey requests both internal and external.

Qualifications

BS/BA, graduate work desired; three to five years progressive experience in admissions (graduate level admissions desired); proven organizational and interpersonal skills; excellent written and presentation skills; demonstrated proficiency in working with wide range of personalities, familiarity of highly selective health professions admissions and recruiting, experience with culturally diverse student populations including international students; must be willing to work non-traditional hours; proficiency with admissions computer systems; knowledge of CAS admissions systems helpful.
