Duties

The Brannon Lab Manager will be directly involved in collecting and analyzing behavioral and fMRI data with adults and children. The position requires knowledge of MatLab programming (or demonstrated ability to learn MatLab quickly), administering standardized tests and other assessments to children, and data analysis skills. The position requires supervising undergraduate research assistants and working closely with postdoctoral and graduate students’ research projects. S/he will coordinate all running of human subjects in the Brannon lab. S/he will oversee petty cash use to pay subjects, oversee all Brannon Lab purchasing, and coordinate IRB protocols. This position is to begin September 1, 2017.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in a field related to psychology, child development, or neuroscience.
Coursework and interest in cognitive development and statistics.
Experience interacting with children in labs, schools or child programs (after school, day care, preschools, etc.)
Prior successful experience working in a research laboratory in psychology or related fields.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Must be able work independently.
*Please note that applicants will be asked to do a variety of things from testing children to transcribing and coding data; thus, applicants with a wide range of abilities and experiences are preferred.
