School/Center Overview

The School of Arts and Sciences forms the foundation of the scholarly excellence that has established Penn as one of the world’s leading research universities. We teach students across all 12 Penn schools, and our academic departments span the reach from anthropology and biology to sociology and South Asian studies.


This position is responsible for managing many aspects of the World Well Being Project (WWBP) at the Penn Positive Psychology Center. The WWBP utilizes real-time Internet data on the order of billions of data points to create unobtrusive ways to assess well-being in large populations. This position will work under the direction of the project leaders.

Manage meetings for Penn team as well as with consultants. Evaluate research needs with collaborators and manage the agenda for meetings.

Manage IRB protocol submissions, liaise with the Penn Office of Regulatory Affairs, and ensure compliance with Penn policies and protocols

On a regular basis, create, collect and manage the content for the communications website and social media feeds, deciding how to best communicate research results to have the largest impact.

Coordinate and handle purchases and payments including Handle payments to vendors, consultants, research subject pay, and travel reimbursements, purchase of computer hardware, software, and other equipment and supplies Create progress reports, manuscripts, and other publications.

Perform research: Review large amounts of complex materials and synthesize and summarize for the team; manage and analyze data. Decide how best to allocate resources for research.

This is a part-time position.


Bachelor’s degree required
1-2 year of project management experience
A background in psychology with research experience is preferred
Able to work independently with little supervision
Excellent organizational, writing, speaking, computer, and diplomatic skills
Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
